Introduction

Hello, and welcome to Maybe Crazy Help. A website created with others in mind. This is the overview of the website and tells you all about MCH. Here you will find articles and blog posts about mental health, self-help, how to manage and handle emotions, and how to help others who may be experiencing mental health-related issues.

You may be sitting there thinking, “How is another article or post about mental illnesses going to be any different from the rest?” I’ll be honest, it may not be, it might look like the same words written over and over again to you, it might have a different or unique outlook to others, it might make some come to a realization, and cause others to roll their eyes. However, I am offering real, blunt, non-sugarcoated advice, tips, and help, to those who are seeking it.

Furthermore, there are short stories, poems, and other types of writing styles on this website. We hope you find this website unique, extraordinary, and valuable. We are all on this journey of life, our paths may be different but the language of love is still the same. I wish to inspire the world with a loving heart while spreading light on the subject of mental health.

Personally, I have struggled with mental health from the age of 6, due to past traumas. I have real experience on how to overcome depression, anxiety, impulse control, anger, and more. I’m coming to you with not only textbook knowledge, but a real-world experience. This statement is not to discredit people who have taken the time to go to school to get a degree. Those who set themselves aside to help others overcome the darkness within their minds are truly inspiring.

My name is Crystal Grasso (Ward), I am a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend. Overall, I am a woman chasing her dreams of helping others through their hardships. Additionally, I am a student majoring in Computer Science and Graphic Design. I had to take a short break when my son was born, due to complications within the pregnancy. Now I am in the process of saving up to go back and finish the degrees. I have always loved technology, and how it has impacted the world around us. In short, I am a writer with a dream to inspire the world and learn everything I can along the way.

What You Can Expect from this Website

My goal is to have a blog post at least once every two weeks, however, we are all human, and I may miss a week or two here and there. If you have any suggestions or topics you would like me to cover, comment on one of the published blogs and I will definitely consider it.

Also, if you would like to guest post on this website and share your story; email me and I will post your story with your name, link, and unedited (unless you want me to edit the post, though I do charge $5 for basic editing due to the time it can take, unedited is completely free).

The story you send is and always will be yours. Meaning if you ever want it taken down it gets taken down. You can choose to be anonymous or say who you are. I’m just here to help get your story out into the world. However, there are guidelines, they will be emailed to those who would like to share their story. Don’t worry, the guidelines are not strict. Mainly just a be courteous to the readers and no hateful content directed at someone, etc.

Additionally, I am in the process of starting a recommendations page of books and products I personally buy and review regarding mental health. If you have any recommendations for books or products you would like me to review, you can send me an email of what you would like for me to review and I will look into it. However, it has to be related to mental health.

The Creative Side and More

I also enjoy coming up with my own personal Quotes and dedicated a page to some of my favorites. All quotes are original. Be sure to check them out and share, like and comment on the ones you enjoy.

As an artist, I also wanted to dedicate a page to My Art, as art helps me through a lot of my depression and anxiety. I also included famous quotes from the shows and characters drawn. I would love if you would comment some of your favorite quotes too.

Additionally, I have collected Helpful Numbers to multiple suicide hotlines from all over the world. This page also has hotlines for runaways, depression, and more. I am in the process of collecting more numbers for this page, as well as websites.

Furthermore, I am collecting letters, cards, and drawings to be delivered to different shelters in time for Christmas. We will be doing this every year. Additional Information

I do have a Donations page where you can read about some of the projects I have going on. Like the children’s book series on handling emotions and the 365 Days of Self-Reflection Prompt Journal, I am writing. If you would like to send a donation to help me get these books published it is greatly appreciated.

All donors will be mentioned in the published books with the option to promote their own book, website, or blog at no cost. If a donor decides to donate more than $20, they will receive whichever project they donated to before the product is released, as a thank you.

  1. “…how to overcome depression, anxiety…”

    Not sure we ever overcome them but we can become more and more skilled at managing them. One thing helpful for me in the life long struggle is knowing I have “it” and that “it” distorts things and that the distortions usually are not congruent with reality . I then step back, re-evaluate and make choices on sounder ground unyoked from “it” all the time. Don’t always win but winning is more frequent.

    1. I agree with you 100%. If you venture into the blog section of this website it gives insight on how to navigate through the emotions that come with depression, anxiety, etc. My message is more so overcoming the negative reactions to the emotions that depression, anxiety, stress, etc can bring. Taking a step back and re-evaluating the situation then making choices, like you said you do, is what Maybe Crazy Help is all about. Thank you for pointing that out. I am in the process of trying to make my message to others a little clearer. By commenting you helped me pinpoint some of the things I need to make MCH clearer. (I am terrible at trying to express my thoughts, this helps more than you know.) Thank you once more.
